“Deep thinking/deep reaching ... Loaded with thought-provoking lyrics, the album will satisfy longtime fans who have grown accustomed to the mathletic post-hardcore-cum-prog heard on previous outings and only advanced here.” — NPR
"The math-rock dynamos write songs that are simultaneously challenging, creative, and audibly pleasing.” — Guitar World
“At this point, Hail The Sun are post-hardcore veterans ... Progressing with each record, the band follows their signature sound while introducing some new ideas." — Alternative Press

Celebrated California rock band Hail The Sun are excited to announce its upcoming U.S. fall headline tour. Kicking off after the 10-year anniversary run for Culture Scars, the tour will begin on September 8 at SLO Brewing in San Luis Obispo, CA and span the rest of September and early October, culminating in an appearance at The Regency Live in Springfield, MO on Friday, October 9. Support on the tour will be provided by A Lot Like Birds, The Fall of Troy, Murals, Blight Town, DIV3R and Shyeye in select markets. Tickets for all shows go on sale this Friday, June 26 at 10:00 a.m. local time via the band’s official site HERE, and a full listing of dates can be found below.
Anybody familiar with Hail The Sun will know there’s always a great deal of meaning beneath the surface. Theirs are songs that probe the very nature of existence, that strive to find the answers to the fundamental questions that being human raises, and that don’t flinch away from any form of self-reflection whatsoever. That’s been the case since the band — lead vocalist Donovan Melero, guitarists Shane Gann and Aric Garcia, bassist John Stirrat and drummer Allen Casillas — formed in Chico, CA in 2009, but which is especially the case on cut. turn. fade. back., their latest full-length album.
Produced & engineered by Pete Adams and GRAMMY® Award Winner Johnny Kosich of Beach Noise (Kendrick Lamar), and mixed & mastered by Zakk Cervini (Blink-182, Bring Me The Horizon, Coheed and Cambria), cut. turn. fade. back. truly finds Hail The Sun going the distance, encompassing the complete cycle of life with its four monosyllabic words. An album touching on topics such as military atrocities, humanitarian crises, addiction, lost love and death, the 11 songs presented here capture the cyclical nature of all those things, as well as life itself in general. Stream and purchase cut. turn. fade. back. on all platforms HERE.
Hail The Sun will be making the following appearances this summer and fall. Dates below.
